The Formentera style Villa
Freienbach
It was their dream home, the one to watch their children growing up. It is a new construction built with first-rate finishes and materials.
In this project we wanted to bet on the classic notes of the Alhambra, so we used a color palette that ranged from warm browns to black and off-white. We also wanted to introduce a contemporary touch of great visual impact, evoking a luxurious hippie style of Formentera, in search of beauty and balance.
Ely and Jeroen are unique personalities and parents of two sweet little children. After a long and tiring construction phase, it was difficult for them to find the energy to focus on the interiors. So they moved in more or less with what they already had.
We all met together in their first home and discussed their dreams and wishes for a long time. It was immediately clear to me that a concept had to be found that could hold up and adapt to the passage of time. At first, they asked me to take care of their curtains, we are currently redesigning the living room and dining room.
It is always an amazing experience to be close to this lovely family, with so much heart, so much honesty and so much style. Chapeau!
What we have achieved are bright spaces wrapped in a neutral and warm palette, embellished with beautiful bespoke curtains. A sophisticated interior project designed to bring a relaxed and Mediterranean atmosphere to the spaces.
